Cautious business owners considering purchasing any new technology item usually have a few questions: how well does it work? Is it affordable? How will this item help me grow my business?
Perhaps the most important question to ask—one which has resulting in people being understandably dubious at times—is “how good is the support?”
Most of us have had an experience with support or troubleshooting for a technology item that was frustrating (at the very least). Difficult to navigate websites, long hold times on the phone, or instructions that simply don’t work. These kinds of issues can eat hours out of a workday, if not consuming multiple workdays to resolve.
Not exactly the kind of experience most business owners want to have.
If you’re considering making the switch to Xerox, it’s easy to answer those first, basic questions. We can say with complete confidence that modern Xerox products work incredibly well (likely better than you expect—we’re even surprised at times), they’re affordable, and the featureset of ConnectKey-enabled devices is second-to-none.
…But what about the support?
It’s excellent, and in this post we’ll explore why. First, let’s talk about one of the latest innovations from Xerox to make their already stellar support even better, and then we’ll discuss a few ways you can find help for minor issues on your own.
The Latest Xerox Support Enhancement: Service Delivery Video Chat
Xerox support is already great, but now it’s even better. When you call Xerox Support, you’ll now have the option to speak with a troubleshooter through video chat. This is helpful because you’ll be able to actually show the support agent what you’re seeing at your MFP—making getting up and running again just as easy as if you had an expert right there with you.
Xerox rolled out this service with the expectation that troubleshooting resolution will be faster and easier, ideally solving the problem as quickly as possible during a single call. Take a look at the official Xerox video below to get an idea of how it works:
How to Use the Xerox Support Center for Online Support & Troubleshooting
We’ve all had to deal with difficult to navigate support pages before, and it’s not any fun at all. Fortunately, Xerox has done a really great job making their support website simple to navigate. It’s also packed with all the troubleshooting information, driver downloads, full documentation, and tutorial videos you’ll ever need for your model of Xerox product.
When you access the Xerox Support page, all you have to do is type in the kind of MFP or other Xerox product you have (for example, AltaLink, VersaLink, WorkCentre, and so on). Once done, you’ll be presented with links to everything you need to troubleshoot and learn.
